Instead of having to disassemble the tap in order to fit the washer, I just loosened the nut, removed the broken washer, and clipped on the new one. A few more seconds to tighten up the nut and the job was complete. It really couldn’t have been easier or quicker, and the new washer is sturdier than the one it replaced.
