Standard patches are stainless steel and are available in four sizes which are:
3/8” OD/1/4” ID
5/8” OD/1/2” ID
7/8” OD/3/4” ID
1-1/8” OD/1” ID
Custom patches can be made for most sizes of tubing
Stainless steel is used for the patches as stainless steel will not create Galvanic corrosion on either copper or aluminum tubing.
PATCH-RITE bonds will come apart when heated above 450°F. PATCH-RITE patches cannot be re-used, but the tubing can be wiped clean when hot and sanded once the tubing is cold.
Impervious to all refrigerants, PEG oils, POE oil, gasoline, diesel, most automotive and industrial chemicals, bases to pH12, and any acid that can be used around copper or aluminum tubing.
