HVAC SUPER PRO bonds require the tubing’s O.D. be 0.010 inch smaller than the connector’s I. D. to bond properly.
HVAC Super Pro Specifications
Temperature range after cure: -65°F to 350°F (-54°C to 176°C)
Maximum continuous pressure after cure: 1200psi
Bonds to all types of soft and rigid copper and aluminum tubing and copper, aluminum, and brass fittings and connectors
Fill space: 0.005 to 0.020 inch. The connector I.D. must be 0.010 inch larger than the tubing O.D. for a proper bond. The bond must be a minimum of 0.005 inch thick at all points around the tube to achieve required strength.
Adherence strength on ¾-inch tubing (ASTM 4541): Pull-apart is 1500 foot pounds. Rotational strength is 450 foot pounds.
HVAC SUPER PRO bonds will come apart when heated above 450°F. HVAC SUPER PRO can be wiped from connector and tubing when hot, or sanded when cold.
